The More Things Change …

The traditional marketing communication paradigm that was built on discreet, distributed media died decades ago. The ascendance of an information/media infrastructure to deliver, manage and control on-demand, interactive content has created a new, integrated media communication paradigm. And with it, how we communicate with each other on a global basis has radically changed. Never before have we seen these kinds of opportunities and challenges to create new experiences and capabilities … make new connections … in a world of intelligent devices and technologies … filled with powerful creative tools and production technologies that reduce to seconds what once took days to complete. Yet amid all the technology and innovation, there is one paradigm that likely will never, or should never change: meaningful communication built on solid market research; credible and believable messaging and positioning; well-conceived concepts; creative excellence; and flawless execution. Media will evolve. New pathways will open. New technologies and tools will emerge. In short, where and how we communicate may change. But the elements that make successful marketing communication will not. It is at the very core of what we do.
